As a culminating project for our unit about the causes of the American Revolution, each student will create their own brochure about becoming a Patriot and fighting for freedom.
Directions: You are a Patriot, one of the Sons of Liberty! You and your fellow Patriots are creating brochures to hand out to other Colonists in the New York Colony. You are want to persuade and convince other colonists to join the Sons of Liberty and become a Patriot. You must do your best - after all, you want all the people you can get to fight for freedom and independence from England!
Each brochure must include the following:

- a title page with your full name and title of the project: Will You Join The Patriots?
- definitions of a Patriot, Loyalist, and the Sons of Liberty, including who they were and why they wanted freedom
- at least five reasons why the 13 American Colonies should fight for independence and break away from England, forming their own free country
- advantages of becoming a Patriot must mention 3 acts, 3 vocabulary words, and 3 important figures/leaders we have discussed
- include as many relevant pictures as you can!
- cite your sources on the back of the brochure!
